United Nations Development Programme (UNDP)
UNDP is the UN's global development network, advocating for change and connecting countries to knowledge, experience and resources to help people build a better life. UNDP is on the ground in 166 countries, working together with them to develop solutions to global and national development challenges. As countries develop their local capacity, they draw on the expertise of the UNDP and its wide range of partners.
While UNDP addresses a number of climate change issues across its thematic focus areas, these problems cannot be tackled without making a shift to more sustainable production and consumption practices. This is where procurement plays an important role.
Sustainable Procurement Activities
An energy efficient project has been set up with the aim of removing barriers for the implementation of economically feasible, energy efficient technologies and measures in residential and service sectors in Croatia. The final goal is to reduce energy consumption and the associated greenhouse gases, whilst raising public awareness about efficient use of energy.
