West Intermunicipal Community (Comunidade Intermunicipal do Oeste – OesteCIM) is a public, collective organisation in Portugal, representing the common interests of 12 member municipalities. SPP POLICY AND STRATEGY

OesteCIM was founded in 1987 with comprehensive competencies which cover regional development, including project planification and management. It coordinates actions between the municipalities and central government services in different areas promoting economic, social and cultural development.


JOINT PROCUREMENT

OesteCIM coordinated the IEE application for the creation of the Portuguese West Region Energy and Environmental Agency, as well as the Regional Public Procurement Central Unit and contributed to the application process for funding the LED street lighting regional project among 12 municipalities. The procedures developed allow price reductions between 20% and 60%, with potential savings of more than €70,000.
