Procura+ Seminar 2010, 11-12 November

Innovation through Procurement

  • How can sustainable procurement play a role in innovative solutions for public construction projects?
  • How can public authorities make contracts more accessible for small and medium sized enterprises?
  • How can you engage with suppliers through strategic dialoguing?

Representatives from across Europe will discuss these and other questions together at the international Seminar held in Helsinki (11-12 November 2010), organised by the City of Helsinki and ICLEI's European Secretariat.

The aim of the seminar is to exchange ideas, concepts, opinions and experiences on how sustainable procurement can contribute to innovation in the areas of sustainable construction, small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs) and supplier engagement. Bringing  together procurers, policy makers, multipliers and other experts and interested parties, the Procura+ Seminar 2010 will focus on getting more out of public procurement by encouraging innovation.

In order to maximise input and discussion, the programme will feature a mix of interactive plenary and break-out sessions, where successful strategies and practical tools for public administrations will be presented. Please download a detailed outline of the Seminar here, or click here to go to the regularly updated programme page.

In addition to the Seminar, a Procura+ Participants Meeting will be held in the morning of the second day, to update participants on the latest Campaign news, and discuss future initiatives and strategies. Both participants and non-participants of the Campaign are invited to participate in the Meeting and the Seminar.

Participation in the Seminar is free of charge, however, prior registration is essential to ensure you have a place.
