BIG-Net International Expert Seminar
BIG-Net International Expert Seminar, 14-15 October 2004, Aix-en-Provence, France
Europole Mediterraneen de l'Arbois, the Province of Cremona in Italy and ICLEI organised the "Buy It Green"–Network of sustainable procurement professionals (BIG-Net) International Expert Seminar in Aix-en-Provence in 2004. The event served as a forum to gather latest information on practical issues, exchange on good practice experience and to discuss future project opportunities concerning sustainable procurement in European public authorities.
The International Seminar was part of a series of annual events of a similar nature as part of the BIG-Net: a network that provides a forum for professionals working in or with local authorities in Europe to share their sustainable purchasing know-how and broaden their expertise in the field.
The Seminar in Aix-en-Provence also served as the international final conference of the Italian GPPnet project (Green Public Procurement Network) led by the Province of Cremona.
