Any public or semi-public authority can join the Procura⁺ Campaign.

Each participant will need to pay a small participation fee.  Normally this is a few hundred Euro. The size of the fee for local and regional authorities will depend on the population of the area covered by the authority.

For other (semi) public authorities such as government agencies, universities, schools, hospitals etc. the fee is based on the number of employees of the organisation.

In order to participate the Campaign, your authority will need to:

• Commit to self-set sustainable procurement targets for at least one of the product groups covered by the Campaign (electricity, construction, food, IT products, cleaning products, buses).

• Report progress on sustainable procurement achievements to ICLEI on an annual basis using the simple Procurement Scorecard;

• Send tender documents to ICLEI for all 6 Procura+ product groups, which incorporate environmental and/or social requirements, and for one tender highlight the environmental and social criteria elements. These provide a valuable resource for other participants to benefit from.

• Contribute an annual participation fee.
