Global to Local

G2L is a sustainable development consultancy specialising in helping mainly public sector and governmental organisations improve their sustainable development performance. Since 1996, G2L has established a reputation for delivering high quality outcomes to deadlines, at competitive costs. G2L clients number over 160 with a third being repeat business. At present there are 12 staff; 8 are based in the UK, with colleagues in HU, PL, SE and UKR. G2L also works with sister organisations in DE, EL, ES and IE.

Since 2003 G2L has been increasingly working with clients at a strategic, EU, national and regional level (including the European Commission, DEFRA, the Sustainable Development Commission, National Health Service Wales, Environment Agency, the Regional Centres of Excellence, all the Government Offices, and many of the RDAs). More recently G2L has secured work from large private organisations, owned by public bodies, such as NPS (Norfolk Property Services) and ESPO (Eastern Shires Purchasing Organisation).

G2L is a virtual company: it has no central offices, and aim to practise what they preach by driving down both the financial and environmental overheads. G2L conducts its business in accordance with an approved Sustainability Policy, and has an ISO14001 certified EMS system in place. G2L believes this is a ‘first’ for a virtual company. They also assist public organisations and business to improve their environmental performance and mainstream sustainability.  The main services are: Climate Change, Environmental Management Systems, Sustainable Procurement and Project Design and Management of national and EU co-funded projects.
